FSNet-Africa will be hosting the FSNet-Africa World Food Day event, which will be held from on 14 October 2022 at the Future Africa Campus of the University of Pretoria. The theme for this year’s World Food Day event is “Finding pathways towards agroecological transitions in Africa“.
The FSNet-Africa project seeks to strengthen food systems research capabilities and the translation of evidence into implementable policy solutions and practical interventions in support of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets for Africa. This will be achieved through leading systems analysis research on climate-smart, nutrition-sensitive, and poverty-reducing food systems solutions designed and implemented in partnership with relevant food systems stakeholders.
Join us for an exciting discussion with International speakers from the FSNet-Africa network. Food systems experts, FSNet-Africa Fellows, and experienced researchers (including FSNet-Africa mentors) will discuss agroecological transitions in Africa. Senior researchers will reflect on lessons learned from their past research, while fellows will look to the future and share their aspirations for contributing to sustainable and equitable African food systems.
