Dr Kadeghe Fue

Dr Kadeghe “Kade” Goodluck Fue (Member of SUASA, IET, IEEE, ASABE, AAAS) is a researcher, developer, and consulting engineer in digital agriculture, sensing, and control systems. He works for Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) as a lecturer and supports SUA Information Systems as a developer. He received his PhD in Engineering (Machine Vision and Robotics) in 2020 from the College of Engineering, University of Georgia, USA. He also received the Borlaug LEAP fellowship award in the Fall of 2013, offered by the USAID Feed the Future programme at the University of California Davis.

Kadeghe specialises in the application of computers and electronics in agriculture, especially in precision agriculture, agricultural data science, e-agriculture, sensors and instrumentation, controls and automation, field-based high throughput phenotyping for plants, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) for agriculture, and sensor evaluations. He has extensively published scientific papers on the application of computers in agriculture. He is a reviewer for eight international journals and an editorial board member of one international journal. In addition, he does consulting work on software systems development and electronic control systems at public and private institutions. He welcomes local and international peers to collaborate with him on digital agriculture research projects.
