Dr Emmanuel Abbey works with the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) as a consultant on the Carnegie Data Benchmarking Project. As a Consultant to ARUA, Dr Abbey is involved with institutional data gathering about ARUA Universities as well as preparing a bibliometric report based on data from the Web of Science. Dr Abbey was the immediate past Project Coordinator overseeing the 13 ARUA Centres of Excellence (CoEs). He occasionally also provides administrative/organisational support to ARUA. Dr Abbey holds a PhD in Development Economics from the University of Ghana and has worked on various academic projects related to youth unemployment, structural transformation, and entrepreneurship in Africa.
