Dr Nana Afranaa Kwapong is a lecturer at the University of Ghana, Department of Agricultural Extension. She holds a PhD in Agriculture from Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany. She is interested in understanding farmers’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices as they deal with challenges in food production. Her main research areas include agricultural extension, food security, agricultural policy, and cooperatives. Dr Kwapong has previously worked with several international research organisations – including the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) – conducting studies, managing research projects, and reporting on project implementation to partners and donors. She has published some of her research findings in peer-reviewed journals and has also written policy notes to communicate key research findings to policy practitioners.
