Vutlhari Chauke is the founder of VT Harvest Pty Ltd., an agricultural business specialising in the production of high-value vegetables and culinary herbs at the Tarlton AgriPark, Gauteng. She holds an MBA from the UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership and left a corporate career in Sandton to establish this operation in 2017. As finalist in the 2019 SAB Urban Agriculture Programme, she received an investment to establish a smart-tech hydroponic operation. She is the 2021 winner of the SA Writers Awards “New Entrant to commercial Farming Gauteng”. She is passionate about women empowerment and currently training 13 youth through the Solidaridad Social Employment Fund Project.
