Prof. Philip Antwi-Agyei is an Associate Professor at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. As a Commonwealth Scholar, Philip obtained his PhD in 2013 from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. Philip is an interdisciplinary environmental scientist whose research involves developing innovative multi-scale approaches for assessing vulnerability to climate change for dryland farming systems. His work uses spatial databases, ecological surveys, and field-based participatory studies within the broader understanding of how climate change affects food production and rural livelihoods. Prof. Antwi-Agyei was a Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on the impacts of global warming of 1.5 oC above pre-industrial levels. He has published extensively in leading international peer reviewed journals.
